I'm curious to know why you chose red as the theme for the piece. Something I miss?
The original color was going to be pink lighting as my original idea was to have them in Afterlife or Purgatory, as a separate meeting of sorts within the events of the game. However, the pink lighting made Miranda look like a barbie doll, so that idea was scraped.
I went for the next best color for the scene, red, for a multitude of reasons. One, red is a strong color, it demands attention (as with the bolding of the letters in the title), much like Miranda herself. I thought it really brought out the attitude of Miranda, sort of a sassy and 'he's mine' vibe, if you will. It is also the color that symbolizes passion, fitting for a scene that involved kissing. And lastly, red is the color of love. One of the things I want most in the game is a proper 'I love you' exchange between Shepard and Miranda, outside of her dying of course. I felt like this picture would help make up for it, at least a little bit.
