This specifically pertains to tumblr, but if you have questions about other social media websites, let me know by sending me a note or a comment on this journal.
As some of you may know, I have a tumblr, and along with my submissions here, I more often than not make a separate post there about the artwork in question. It can be really disheartening to see people re-posting my artwork and getting more recognition for it on their re-post than my original. And I realize that some of this is because they hold a larger following than I do, and that a large portion of the people who see my artwork on tumblr is a direct result of bigger blogs seeing and reblogging my pictures.
While I know that some people who post my work on tumblr in the past have provided credit back to my deviant art here, and I really appreciate them doing so, I would really prefer if people just reblog straight from my original post. It may seem like such a thing isn't a big deal, and maybe it's not, but to know someone out there likes what I do, it means everything. It really lightens my day when I see that someone has liked, favourited, commented, or reblogged a render that I've done. It is something that is important to me.
I know re-posting is something that I have let happen in the past, but as I spend more time on tumblr than I did before, this is something that I wanted to address.
I am not the most eloquent at addressing these kinds of things, but I hope you will understand and respect my decision on this matter.
